From Manchester to Lagos: The Next Chapter in Independent Music
Following a standout year marked by an official Alumni Performer and Delegate invitation to the Beyond The Music festival in Manchester, and widespread radio rotation heavily propelled by tastemaker platforms like BBC Music Introducing and major networks across the UK and US alternative underground scenes. [ and currently featured in the 16th Afro Pépites Show, Scorti-Samuel is proving the ultimate power of the DIY digital export model.
While his signature sound has traditionally bridged the gap between West African rhythms and Western hip-hop, these upcoming tracks delve deep into contemporary, late-night R&B textures.
- "Cardi The Weekend" delivers a hypnotic, bass-heavy rhythm paired with silky, introspective vocal performances that evoke a distinct late-night aesthetic.
- "Take Care / Reason (Deluxe)" expands his catalog into a smoother, moodier sonic palette, blending alternative Western R&B with subtle contemporary Nigerian textures.
