How to use shop cash

Shop Cash

Shop Cash is a rewards program offered by the Shop app (developed by Shopify). It's essentially a type of credit that you earn on eligible purchases made through the Shop app, which you can then redeem on future purchases.

Here's how to use Shop Cash:

Earn Shop Cash:
- Make eligible purchases: You earn Shop Cash when you make purchases through the Shop app from participating merchants. The amount of Shop Cash you earn is usually a percentage of your purchase total (e.g., 1%).
- Look for special promotions: Sometimes, Shop offers promotions where you can earn bonus Shop Cash for specific purchases or during certain periods.
Find Participating Stores:
- Not all stores on Shopify participate in the Shop Cash program. To find out if a store accepts or awards Shop Cash, you'll need to check within the Shop app itself.
- When browsing stores or products within the Shop app, look for indicators that mention "Earn Shop Cash" or "Pay with Shop Cash."
Redeem Shop Cash:
- Add items to your cart: Shop for items from participating merchants within the Shop app.
- Proceed to checkout: When you're ready to pay, go to the checkout screen within the Shop app.
- Apply Shop Cash: On the payment screen, you should see an option to apply your available Shop Cash balance. Select this option.
- The Shop Cash will be deducted from your total purchase amount.
- Pay the remaining balance: You'll then pay any remaining balance using your preferred payment method (credit card, Shop Pay, etc.).

Important things to know about Shop Cash

Expiration: Shop Cash does not expire as long as your Shop account remains active.
No cash value: Shop Cash cannot be redeemed for actual cash or transferred to another person. It can only be used for purchases within the Shop app.
Minimum purchase: There might be a minimum purchase amount required to redeem Shop Cash, although this can vary.
Returns: If you return an item you purchased using Shop Cash, the Shop Cash used for that purchase will usually be returned to your Shop Cash balance.
Cannot be used with other discounts (sometimes): Depending on the merchant and the specific offer, Shop Cash might not be combinable with other discounts or promotions.

In essence, Shop Cash is a loyalty reward designed to encourage more purchases through the Shop app, giving you a discount on future purchases from participating businesses.
