How to archive an order
Archiving is currently the only way to hide an order from your primary purchase history. You must use a web browser on a computer, or request the desktop site on your phone's browser, as this feature is not available on the Amazon mobile app.
Log in to Amazon from a web browser.
Click on "Returns & Orders" in the top-right corner.
Scroll through your order history to find the order you want to hide.
Click the "Archive Order" button in the bottom-left corner of the order box.
Click "Archive order" again to confirm.
What to know about archiving
Archived orders are not permanently deleted; they are simply moved to a separate list within your account.
Anyone with access to your Amazon account can still find your archived orders by navigating to the "Archived Orders" page.
There may be a limit to how many orders you can archive, so it is not a solution for extensive purchase history.
Some sources indicate that the option to archive orders may be discontinued in the future.
How to clear your browsing history
Your browsing history is separate from your purchase history, but it also contains records of items you have viewed.
Go to the "Browsing History" page. You can find this under "Accounts & Lists" or by searching for it.
On this page, you can:
Click "Remove from view" next to individual items.
Select "Manage history" in the top-right corner, then "Remove all items from view" to clear your entire history.
For greater privacy
Use a separate account: The most secure method is to use a completely separate Amazon account for purchases you want to keep private.
Set up an Amazon Household: This allows you to share Prime benefits with another adult while keeping your purchase history, lists, and recommendations private. Each adult in the household will have their own separate order history.
Disable Alexa notifications: If you use an Echo or other Alexa device, it can announce package deliveries. You can disable this by going to the Alexa app, then Settings > Notifications > Amazon Shopping.
